Quotes attributable to Kate Washington MP
“The 2018 Grandparent of the Year awards are an important opportunity to recognise the incredible contribution of local grandparents. So many of our older residents give back to our community by helping the next generation fulfil their potential.
“Nominations can include older people who volunteer to support local children, even if they aren’t their grandchildren. Many amazing volunteers become the grandparent figure for local kids.
“Kids can also get involved in the competition by taking part in the Grandparents Day Photography Competition.
“Locals wanting to nominate someone for the Port Stephens Grandparent of the Year should contact my office on firstname.lastname@example.org or 4987 4455.”
