Medowie High School and Overcrowded Buses
That this House:
Considers that the Government will not build a public high school in Medowie.
Considers that a public high school will be built in Medowie under a future Labor government.
Notes that in the absence of a public high school in Medowie, about a thousand children travel on overcrowded buses, some standing in the aisles for long distances, without seatbelts, on roads with 100km⁄h speed zones.
Notes that the buses are so crowded children that cannot get on their designated school bus, and over 30 children were left to wait at their school for a public bus last week.
Condemns the government for failing the families of Medowie, Tanilba Bay and surrounding townships.
