Medowie High School and Overcrowded Buses

That this House:

  1. Considers that the Government will not build a public high school in Medowie.

  2. Considers that a public high school will be built in Medowie under a future Labor government.

  3. Notes that in the absence of a public high school in Medowie, about a thousand children travel on overcrowded buses, some standing in the aisles for long distances, without seatbelts, on roads with 100km⁄h speed zones.

  4. Notes that the buses are so crowded children that cannot get on their designated school bus, and over 30 children were left to wait at their school for a public bus last week.

  5. Condemns the government for failing the families of Medowie, Tanilba Bay and surrounding townships.
